I’m Sambhavi (she/her). As an independent consultant for Safe Organizations, I bring a diverse set of experiences to safeguarding – first a teacher, then a rights-focused information professional, and, most recently a humanitarian. On the personal side, I'm an avid board game fan and reader. If you met me, you’d find me passionate and outgoing, but I’m very much an introvert at heart. The thread that weaves through my personal and professional life is a desire for fairness and equity.

For me, safeguarding goes well-beyond “do no harm” to focusing on a rights-based approach. How can we all work to advance the rights and well-being of others and what does that mean in practice? How do we reconcile respect for cultural differences while also upholding the rights of people who might be marginalized in a particular context?

I am a voracious learner, and I enjoy crafting learning experiences for others, where each participant is supported to develop and share their own insights and understanding. An analyst by nature, I am skilled at root cause analyses and proposal development. I am excited about the positive change we can achieve if we work together.
