❷ The Impact of Trauma: Trauma influences individuals and communities, shaping how we engage, share power, and collaborate effectively.
❸ Interdependence of Principles: The Six Principles of Trauma-Informed Practice are interconnected and vital when working with children, adults, and vulnerable groups in any capacity.
❹ Empathy-Based Stress: Professionals working with vulnerable populations—including those in fragile, disaster-affected, or crisis situations—must understand and address the impact of empathy-based stress, including secondary and vicarious trauma, on their well-being and practice.
